"Insides"
Drive-Thru Art Box Installation
Curated by Sulfur Studios
This installation is located outside of a local Savannah restaurant Green Truck. The space is an old drive-through menu box that has been taken over by the art gallery space Sulfur Studios.

Artist Statement
As a stop motion fabricator Zoe Huddleston is fascinated by the textural world of fiber arts. In the Drive Thru Box installation "Insides" she has filled the box with anatomical, brain-like forms constructed from wool roving and crocheted yarn. This installation manifests a playful representation of anatomical forms that is bright and arbitrary in color, as well as embedded with manmade objects that bring a hint of personal identity to the piece. The piece is the artist's metaphorical insides, splayed out for the viewer. Dancing along the line of grotesque gore and cute felt, the choice in materials aims to create a dichotomy between the unsettling aspects of organs outside of the body, and the intrinsically soft, approachable aspects of wool and yarn.
I was interviewed for an article in the paper Do Savannah, and a segment of a local radio show called "Art on the Air".

This is a commission piece I created for a friend. I enjoyed using a different color scheme than my normal palette.

I threw a pop-up art show with the theme "Paint + Pleasure". It had an amazing turnout and I showcased my installation "Insides 2".

Bike Helmet
This is a bike helmet and knee/elbow pads that I adorned with felt anatomical structures. I was interested in taking the internal "vulnerable" forms and displaying them on the outside of a protective structure.
